Danny joined Vertical Recruitment to manage the Construction side of the business due to his twenty years’ experience in the industry. Prior to his arrival, Vertical was pre-construction focused so Danny was brought to the team to add the ‘Hard hat and Boots on the ground’ element to the company. Danny’s long-term goal is to add to his growing team, making sure they are a key recruitment partner for contractors in the Northwest.
Danny is a keen triathlete and cyclist and participates in events several times a year for various charities. An exceptional professional in and out the office.
Why do you like working for Vertical?
“I have worked for some large blue-chip companies in the past and you lose touch with your direct managers due to the sheer size of the company. At Vertical I enjoy the direct contact with the Directors who listen to your ideas. If you have an idea or question you can arrange a quick meeting with the Directors and it could be implemented within the hour. This is Recruitment, done professionally”
What makes a good Recruiter?
“Listening more than they talk. Not being afraid to ask questions and always be willing to learn and take other people’s ideas on board. Bad recruiters talk more than they listen, and good Recruiters listen first and ask questions later.”
