Job Description

Vertical Recruitment is working closely with a Boutique Energy Consultancy based in central Manchester. The business is experiencing a period of sustained growth with a number of new commissions across both construction and rail sectors. They are now looking to appoint both experienced and Trainee Energy Assessors.

With net zero carbon targets in place this is a growth sector. The role would suit an existing Energy Assessor looking for a more varied and interesting workload or Graduate / HNC qualified Engineer or Architect with an interest in the energy sector.

The position will involve:

Carrying out energy audits and surveys across a range of domestic and non-domestic facilities within the commercial, residential, industrial and rail sectors.

Monitoring and analysing existing energy use within existing buildings, commenting on the he overall condition of the building services and Plant.

Providing strategic advice and recommendations about future energy use, energy efficiency measures, passive and LZC technologies.

Performing cost analysis to ensure projects achieve payback periods.
Assisting the M&E Design Engineers by discussing how to improve the Energy efficiency and performance within both existing buildings and new builds.

Ideal Experience / Training can be provided.

An accredited Energy Assessor with experience of carrying out SAP AND SBEM Assessments. (training can be provided)
Experience of TAS or IES to produce Building Regulation Part L2A and L2B Compliance (SBEM) calculations.

Salary 25-35k dependant on experience.
