Location – Manchester city centre

They pride themselves on designing lasting solutions in the Property & Buildings, Transportation & Infrastructure, Environment, Industry, Resources (including Mining and Oil & Gas) and Power & Energy sectors as well as project delivery and strategic consulting services.

The Transport and Infrastructure (T&I) Water team now has an exciting opportunity for a Flood Risk Consultant to join their fast-growing team providing water environment services for WSP from their offices in Manchester.

Th successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at one of the largest engineering and professional consultancies in Manchester.

About the Role:
A typical week would include:
Being an integral part providing support both locally within the North West and around the country.
Helping to deliver highway and rail projects both nationally and internationally. Projects range in size from smaller local authority development to large scale national projects including those delivered by Highways England, Network Rail and HS2.

The candidate:
The successful candidates should be working towards Chartered status with CIWEM or the ICE and have technical expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Environmental Impact and Water Framework Directive assessment;
Flood Risk Assessment;
Fluvial hydraulic modelling;
River engineering and scour assessment;
Sustainable foul and surface water drainage design.
