Job Description

We are working with an EPC Project Developer who deliver high impact social infrastructure projects on an international basis to identify a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team.

Our Client is a private company with an international network of experts working with clients and colleagues to develop and deliver innovative solutions to complex social infrastructure challenges from its base of 3 UK offices and 8 international offices.

The Role
Our client require a senior level Mechanical Project Manager with specific healthcare sector/ equipment expertise who is keen to make the next step up. The PM will be responsible to the Group MEP Manager and will provide support, advice, report on all medical equipment technical delivery aspects of project(s) and contract(s). The PM should be flexible but meticulous in their approach and be confident in working independently with minimal supervision. Be able to develop and understand technical details to support the clinical requirements of the design for various projects. To support on project scheduling (planning) to assist in delivering robust design and medical equipment strategy schedules to support the in-country delivery team.

o Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral & written negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally, externally and with our supply chain

o Be able to interpret complex and sensitive information. Demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of electrical systems; designs, components, procurement, specifications

o Wider knowledge of the construction industry, electrical engineering and design management

o Provide support for the Group MEP Manager in all areas relating to the healthcare sectors and medical equipment engineering aspects

Candidate Competences
The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:

o Bachelor’s Degree in related subject (mechanical, electrical, BioMed engineering)

o Likely to have held a field services engineering post with responsibilities closely aligned to the healthcare sector e.g. for installation/ PM of complex medical equipment (MRI, CT, Radiology, CSSD, Dentistry).

o Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar healthcare sector role

o Prepared to deploy overseas (Africa) for short duration project support tasks

o Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and play an active part in the wider delivery team

o Possess a good sense of humour and willingness to engage with people from other cultures

o IHEEM membership (very desirable)

o Fluent French speaking (desirable)

The place of employment will the office in Market Harlborough one day a week (working from home most of the week), although there will be international travel at times.
Preferred candidate will be invited to interview with the clients MEP Manager. Thereafter, either a second interview will take place or subject to confirmation by both parties, our client shall be able to confirm engagement.

The place of employment is Market Harborough, UK, although international travel will be required.

Salary: £50k – £60k per annum

Holidays – 25 days, plus bank holidays

3-month probationary period

Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm office Hours with reasonable additional hours when needed without additional pay

Travel and reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed
