Principal Highways Infrastructure Engineer – Manchester

We are working on behalf of one of the UK’s largest independent Transport and Infrastructure Consultancies, who are currently looking to hire a principal infrastructure engineer for their Manchester office.

The successful applicant will join a team of nearly 200, in a company where you are more than just a number. Everything from the working environment to the benefits package gives the feel of a company that really cares about its employees.

The Role
Working within the infrastructure industry delivering detailed designs of Roads & Drainage for private developments across the UK.
Being a senior member of a successful team, you will be required to mentor, motivate, coach and sign off work of those more junior to you, whilst working on your own designs and proposals.
There is potential for a work winning element to this role, providing the candidate also had strong technical abilities.
Client liaison will be a large part of the role, and any candidates would be expected to demonstrate a successful background in this field.

Requirements:
o BSc, BEng, MEng (or equivalent)
o Chartership through a professional body
o Experience within Drainage Design Section 38/278/106
o Working knowledge AutoCAD Civil 3D
o Proven experience with team management
o Desire to work as an essential cog in a team

” The ability to confidently explain complex analysis to non-specialists.
