Our client is a specialist in the design and build of bespoke environmental facilities in several industries, including Pharmaceuticals, Fine Chemicals, Biotechnology and Food industries.
They are currently recruiting for Senior and Principal level Mechanical Building Services Engineers to lead the design of major pharmaceutical facilities across the UK.
Responsibilities will include:
” The full range of Mechanical Services design to as-built stage.
” Design Standards and Compliance
” Client Facing – Lead role on complex projects
” Supervision of a project team
” Encourage Innovation
” Drive Value Engineering
Although predominantly an office based role you would be expected to travel to sites within the UK to meet clients as part of the role.
You will be customer focused and have the ability and confidence to liaise with senior clients. You will also be expected to have sufficient working knowledge to enable you to establish clients’ requirements and to lead/manage the design process in order to develop a suitable solution.
Knowledge & Experience:
A working knowledge of Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Food and Drinks projects is highly desirable.
In addition, you should also have the following:
” Qualified to degree level as a minimum, preferably chartered
” Experienced in design and co-ordination of turnkey projects including Architectural, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural works
” IT literate and familiar with design packages i.e. Hevacomp, Cymap etc
” Fully conversant with CDM regulations and in particular of the design risk assessment process
” Experienced in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets is preferred, particularly in the construction of laboratories and cleanrooms
” Conversant with ISO 9001 quality systems and procedures
” Conversant with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project and a working knowledge of AutoCAD
