About the role
Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support their continued growth and help deliver high quality engineering solutions across a range of public and private sector projects. They maintain robust business knowledge and quality management systems to ensure first class design, engineering, construction and maintenance services, as well as award winning project development and consultancy support.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of electrical engineering design on varied and often complex projects while gaining strong multidisciplinary experience.
Key responsibilities
- Commit to continuous professional development
- Demonstrate a strong interest in electrical engineering and sustainable design
- Produce complex calculations, drawings and design work under supervision, while developing the ability to work independently on certain tasks
- Develop an awareness of other engineering and environmental disciplines
- Work closely with in house engineers, environmental specialists and CAD teams
- Support project management activities and work to agreed deadlines
- Provide updates to line managers as required
- Build strong working relationships with clients, architects and the wider design team
- Foster positive team relationships and contribute to a collaborative working environment

Qualifications and skills
- Relevant professional qualifications in electrical engineering, building services or a related field
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to think strategically about project delivery and resource requirements
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills
- Strong written communication skills for producing clear and high standard reports
- Effective IT skills for producing design documents and project material
