As we head into the final quarter of the year, it’s been another busy and exciting few months here at Vertical Recruitment. Q3 has brought plenty of hard work, a few new faces, and some great opportunities to unwind and celebrate together as a team.
From welcoming a new team member to sponsoring our first-ever padel tournament, it’s been a rewarding few months full of progress and energy. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from Q3…
Pay Day Breakfasts
We always look forward to the end of the month at Vertical – it’s our little way of celebrating everyone’s hard work and starting the day on a high.
Our Friday morning tradition of a late start and breakfast together never fails to lift the mood. Over the past few months, we’ve switched things up with breakfasts at Moose Coffee and Essy’s, and most recently wrapped up the quarter with an early finish and a well-earned afternoon of drinks.
These mornings (and afternoons!) are the perfect chance to catch up outside the office, unwind a little, and enjoy spending time together as a team.
Welcoming Ayanna to the Team
We’re really excited to welcome Ayanna Leader to the team at Vertical Recruitment!
Ayanna has joined our Building Services division, working alongside our Senior Consultant James Cooper, and will be leading our contract and temporary desk.
With over three years of recruitment experience in the Oil & Gas sector, she’s hit the ground running and already feels like part of the furniture. It’s great to have her on board!
Padel Tournament Sponsorship
We’re proud (and very excited) to have sponsored the first-ever No Strings Padel Tournament at Padel 16 in Worsley, hosted by Duncan Firth (SHIFT PM).
It was a fantastic event and the perfect introduction to padel for many of the players. We loved seeing everyone get involved, whether they were on the court or helping out behind the scenes.
A huge thanks to everyone who came along – and to our team for getting stuck in. Next time, we’ll be aiming for the win! Of course, no event would be complete without a few drinks and plenty of pizza to round off the day.
Salary Survey 2025
This quarter also marked the launch of our annual Salary & Benefits Survey, in partnership with Place North!
We’ve invited professionals across the UK’s property and construction sectors to share their insights on pay, benefits, and job satisfaction across the North West, Yorkshire, and North East.
This year’s survey explores how factors like the rising cost of living, interest rates, AI adoption, and global events are shaping salaries and sentiment across the built environment. We’re really looking forward to seeing how the results compare to last year’s findings.
Work night out!
As a thank you to the team, we took them out darts at flight club, tested the menu at Cicrolo Popolare in the newly open St Michaels Building. Its incredible because we’ve worked with consultancies in Manchester who we’re involved, now that it’s built it add an extra bit of appreciation.
