With a strong leadership structure already in place, this role offers the chance to step into a pivotal position with clear and transparent progression to Director level.

The Role

As Project Director - Quantity Surveying, you will take full ownership of a key service line, leading and developing a high-performing commercial team.

You will:

  • Lead delivery and client advisory services across multiple complex programmes
  • Operate at programme level on nationally significant, high-profile projects
  • Provide strategic commercial leadership across NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contracts, including governance, change control, and risk management
  • Oversee procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure successful programme outcomes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across sensitive and complex stakeholder environments
  • Play a key role in shaping the growth and direction of the commercial function

About You

  • Proven experience at Associate / Project Director level within a consultancy environment
  • Strong track record delivering large-scale projects (£50m+), ideally within public sector or complex mixed-use schemes
  • Experience working on high-security or “blue light” environments is highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 and/or JCT contract administration
  • Commercially astute with excellent technical Quantity Surveying expertise
  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ambitious, with a desire to progress into a senior leadership/director-level role
