Job Title: Site Manager (Construction or M&E)
Location: Cambridge
Rate: £300+ per day (negotiable)
Contract Length: 8–9 weeks
Start Date: 26th January
Project: New build commercial office development
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical and electrical works on a new build commercial office project in Cambridge. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate M&E subcontractors on site
- Oversee daily site activities and short-term programmes
- Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections
- Liaise with the main contractor, project managers, and other trades
- Monitor quality of installation and resolve any site issues
- Ensure works are completed in line with programme and client expectations
Requirements
- Background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects preferred
- Proven experience managing subcontractors on commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and site health & safety procedures
- SMSTS and First Aid (preferred)
- Available to start on 26th January and commit to the full contract duration
