Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating teams, and ensuring all works comply with legal obligations, industry regulations, and internal procedures. The role requires strong leadership, solid technical capability, and effective stakeholder coordination to ensure electrical works are delivered safely and efficiently from pre-start through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise electrical works on site, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved across designated work packages.
- Apply and oversee quality assurance processes, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and external parties to ensure alignment with programme and compliance requirements.
- Proactively identify and control risks relating to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Attend site meetings, contribute to progress updates, and maintain accurate site records including photographs, issue logs, risk registers, and short-term programmes.
- Oversee materials management including take-offs, ordering, deliveries, and secure storage to support uninterrupted site operations.
- Review drawings and specifications, offering practical input on installation methods and potential efficiencies.
- Work closely with site teams to resolve issues and maintain programme momentum.
- Maintain detailed site documentation such as diaries, equipment registers, snag lists, and HSE inspection records.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure all required compliance and safety documentation is in place.
- Deliver site inductions, daily briefings, and toolbox talks, ensuring appropriate welfare facilities and site security are maintained.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Construction or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- CITB SSSTS certificate
- CSCS
- First Aid
- IOSH
- Full UK driving licence.
