We’re working with a well-established, people-focused consultancy that supports some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes. They are now looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their growing delivery team, working on major site development and capability projects across the infrastructure and construction sectors.
This role is full-time with a flexible working arrangement: typically 3-4 days on site and 1-2 days working from home. It's ideal for a Project Manager who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working collaboratively with clients, consultants and contractors. You’ll be trusted to manage projects end-to-end, supported by experienced senior leaders, and given the autonomy to make a real impact on how projects are delivered.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Project Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering complex infrastructure projects from early design through to construction and handover. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects within a wider major infrastructure programme
- Leading planning, scheduling, reporting, risk, change and quality management activities
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, including designers, consultants and construction contractors
- Developing and maintaining project baselines for cost, programme and resources
- Managing change through formal change control processes
- Monitoring progress, performance and KPIs to support clear, informed decision-making
- Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with governance requirements
How You’ll Work
You’ll be part of a collaborative consultancy environment that values trust, professionalism and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with senior project leaders, commercial teams and technical specialists, with the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of your projects while being supported by experienced mentors
- Contribute ideas, challenge ways of working and help shape project outcomes
- Learn from a broad range of sectors, clients and delivery models
- Develop your career within a consultancy that genuinely invests in its people
Commercial & Contract Exposure
- Managing budgets, schedules and scope across your projects
- Supporting cost-effective delivery while managing risk and opportunity
- Working with NEC forms of contract (NEC4 preferred), including change and compensation events
What They’re Looking For
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline
- Professional Project Management qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects as a Project Manager
- Strong understanding of project controls, planning, risk and change management
- Experience working across both design and construction phases
- Knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4 desirable)
- Confident communicator who can build strong client and stakeholder relationships
- A proactive, collaborative mindset suited to consultancy environments
Why Join This Consultancy?
This is a consultancy that values people as much as projects. You’ll be supported, trusted, and encouraged to grow - not micromanaged. You’ll work on meaningful infrastructure projects, alongside experienced professionals, in an environment that promotes collaboration, flexibility and long-term career development.
