Associate Director - Fire Engineering
I'm hiring for an exciting opportunity for an Associate Fire Engineer or AD to lead and grow a Fire Engineering team within a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy. This role involves delivering technically robust, sustainable, and compliant fire strategies across high-profile UK projects in sectors such as residential, commercial, education, and master planning.
You will be responsible for managing key client relationships, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering high-quality fire safety design solutions.
The role also includes contributing to internal technical leadership, supporting climate-positive outcomes, and helping shape the direction of the fire team nationally.
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years’ experience in fire engineering within consultancy
- Deep knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and standards (ADB, BS9999, etc.)
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it
- Passion for sustainability and innovation in fire design
- Experience managing teams, projects, and design deliverables across all RIBA stages
