Contract Type: Full-time (initially subcontracted, with a view to permanent employment)
Salary: Hourly rate, then annual salary when it goes permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime available)
Overview
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Duct Fitter / HVAC Engineer to join our team. The role will initially be on a subcontract basis, with the aim of transitioning to permanent employment for the right candidate.
This is a hands-on position involving a mix of ductwork installation and HVAC installation, with occasional servicing work.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of DW/144 standard commercial ductwork
- Installation of fire-rated ductwork systems
- Installation of commercial kitchen extraction and ventilation systems
- Installation of fresh air systems and AHU systems
- Installation of commercial extract and supply fans, including system filters
- Working with commercial kitchen odour control systems, including:
- Carbon filter housings
- ESP units
- UVO units
- Ability to move between ductwork and HVAC installation as required
- Occasional servicing and maintenance work
Experience & Qualifications Required
- Minimum 10 years’ industry experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (Duct Fitting / HVAC or related discipline)
- CSCS Card
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Must live within Manchester / Greater Manchester
- Proven experience installing commercial ductwork (photos of previous work required)
Desirable
- HVAC qualifications and certifications (including F-Gas)
- Strong HVAC installation experience alongside duct fitting background
