Fire Engineer – Expert Consultancy & Fire Engineering

Vertical Recruitment is partnering with a leading provider of expert witness, dispute resolution, and specialist consultancy services across multiple technical disciplines. Their team helps clients avoid disputes, achieve early resolution, or reach fair settlements in complex technical matters.

The Role:

They are seeking a Fire Engineer to join their growing Fire Engineering team, supporting a highly experienced Fire Engineering Expert Witness.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to work across a wide range of projects and contribute to the continued growth of the Fire Engineering department. The role provides exposure to expert witness work, allowing you to develop strong evidence-based technical judgement and build a solid foundation for rapid career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist a team of experienced Fire Engineers in delivering building safety projects and proposing fire engineering solutions for high-risk and complex legal cases.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related field (undergraduate or postgraduate).
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation.
• Accredited Fire Risk Assessment qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., MIFireE) is advantageous.
• Ability to work proactively on complex projects and as part of a team.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Strong administrative skills and proficiency in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
