An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, international consultancy delivering complex infrastructure and marine projects across the UK. This role will focus on a major ferry terminal and marine infrastructure upgrade at Holyhead, a strategically important UK–Ireland transport hub. The programme includes significant marine works, terminal enhancements, land reclamation, and infrastructure upgrades designed to improve capacity, resilience, and operational efficiency.
You’ll play a key role in the commercial management of this high-profile project, working closely with the client, contractors, and wider project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full commercial and cost management support across the project lifecycle
- Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cashflows
- Draft, review, and administer contracts (NEC-based experience preferred)
- Manage change control, variations, and compensation events
- Undertake risk management, value engineering, and cost control activities
- Assess interim valuations, payments, and final accounts
- Provide clear commercial reporting to senior stakeholders
- Support procurement strategies and tender evaluations
About You:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure, marine, ports, or civil engineering projects
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (NEC experience highly desirable)
- Confident working in a client-facing role and managing key stakeholders
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider project team
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Working towards MRICS or equivalent (desirable, not essential)
