Intermediate Electrical Engineer
We are working with a well established, sustainability led MEP consultancy to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their Manchester office.
This is a unique opportunity to join an employee owned practice where sustainability is embedded into every aspect of their work. Known for delivering thoughtful, low energy building design, the business works closely with architects and clients to create solutions that are both technically robust and environmentally responsible.
You will be joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with the opportunity to contribute to projects from early concept through to completion.
The Role - As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services across all RIBA stages.
Working as part of a wider MEP team, you will support the development of innovative and sustainable design solutions, while continuing to build your technical knowledge and professional experience.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting the design and delivery of electrical services on a range of projects
- Producing calculations, specifications and technical drawings
- Attending client and design team meetings
- Carrying out site visits and monitoring project progress
- Working closely with senior engineers to develop your technical capability
- Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers where appropriate
Projects

About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Experience working within a UK MEP consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of electrical building services design
- Working towards Chartered status
- Familiar with design tools such as Revit, Bluebeam and ProDesign
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Motivated, proactive and keen to continue developing professionally
