Microstation Technician - Building Services
Vertical Recruitment are working closely with an award winning global environmental and engineering consultancy. As their business continues to grow, they are looking to strengthen their Building Services team with the appointment of a MicroStation Technician to support the delivery of major rail infrastructure projects from their Manchester office.
Our client delivers projects across a range of complex sectors including rail, aviation, healthcare, education, commercial, energy and advanced manufacturing. With a strong pipeline of rail work across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team working on large scale multidisciplinary projects.
The Role - As a MicroStation Technician, you will play a key role in the production and coordination of high quality building services drawings and models for rail projects. Working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary design teams, you will support project delivery from concept through to detailed design.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using MicroStation
- Develop and coordinate building services layouts within rail environments
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical and public health engineers
- Assist with the preparation of design documentation and technical drawings
- Ensure drawings comply with industry and client standards
- Coordinate information across multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a CAD or MicroStation Technician within the building services or rail sector
- Strong working knowledge of MicroStation
- Experience producing MEP drawings and coordinating services
- Understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
- Experience working on rail projects
