Senior Fire Engineer – Leading Built Environment Consultancy
Salary: Competitive £70k + Senior Level Package

The Opportunity
This is a senior-level role where you will take full ownership of fire engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will work directly with clients and design teams to develop practical, compliant, and buildable fire strategies.
You will be joining the design team from day one, contributing to technically challenging and varied projects. The portfolio includes high-profile facilities such as motorsport infrastructure, heritage and cultural buildings, university frameworks, and complex residential developments.
The role requires strong technical judgement, confidence in client-facing situations, and the ability to lead fire engineering solutions that go beyond compliance and support real-world design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of fire strategies across all project stages
- Act as the key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
- Manage project delivery including programme, scope, and quality
- Produce and review technical reports, calculations, and fire engineering analysis
- Engage with architects, contractors, and approving authorities
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the fire engineering team
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience operating at a Senior Fire Engineer level within a consultancy environment
- Proven ability to deliver fire engineering projects from inception to completion
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Confident technical judgement with high-quality output standards
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations, guidance, and design standards
