Project Architect - High-Rise Residential & Mixed-Use
New York City (On-site)
$90,000 - $125,000 + full benefits
I am working with a well-established, Brooklyn-based architecture practice who are actively looking to hire a Project Architect to join their growing team.
This is a strong opportunity to step into a hands-on role within a firm delivering complex high-rise residential and mixed-use projects across New York City. The practice works closely with experienced developers and offers direct exposure to both project delivery and client interaction.
The role is suited to someone who is confident taking ownership of projects and is comfortable operating across the full lifecycle, from early design through to construction administration.
The position
You will be responsible for running projects from concept through delivery, managing timelines, coordinating teams and ensuring high-quality output throughout. The role also involves regular interaction with clients and consultants, so clear communication and accountability are key.
Key responsibilities include
Managing projects through all stages from schematic design to construction administration
Leading coordination and production using Revit
Navigating NYC zoning and Department of Buildings processes
Working directly with developers and external stakeholders
Maintaining strong delivery standards across documentation and execution
What they are looking for
Professional degree in Architecture
Strong Revit and BIM capability
Solid understanding of NYC zoning and DOB processes
Experience delivering high-rise residential or mixed-use projects in New York
Confident, organised and able to take ownership of work
What is on offer
Salary between $90,000 and $125,000 depending on experience
Full medical coverage
401k with employer contribution
Paid time off
Direct exposure to senior leadership and real project responsibility
This is a good fit for someone currently operating as a Project Architect, Senior Architectural Designer or Job Captain who is looking to step into a role with more ownership and visibility.
