This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a collaborative and approachable consultancy where engineers are given genuine responsibility and involvement across all stages of project delivery. What you’ll be doing:
• Working as part of a design team delivering mechanical building services projects from concept through to detailed design
• Designing and specifying mechanical systems including HVAC, heating, ventilation, and public health services
• Using software packages such as AutoCAD and Revit to support project delivery
• Producing calculations, specifications, schedules, and technical drawings
• Liaising closely with architects, contractors, surveyors, and other design team members both internally and externally
• Attending project, design, and technical meetings
• Ensuring designs comply with current regulations and Health and Safety standards
• Supporting sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions across a variety of projects
What we need from you:
• At least 2 years’ experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer, ideally within a consultancy environment
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services design
• Experience producing calculations, specifications, and coordinated design information
• A degree or higher qualification (HNC/HND) in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience using software such as AutoCAD and Revit
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
