Senior Fire Engineer
Salary: up to €75,000 + package

About the Consultancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Fire Engineer to join a leading fire engineering consultancy based in Dublin. The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and public sector developments, providing innovative fire safety solutions and expert technical advice.
This role would suit an experienced Fire Engineer looking to take ownership of complex projects, contribute to the growth of a specialist consultancy, and work alongside a highly skilled team of fire safety professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage fire engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide fire safety design advice and develop performance-based fire engineering solutions.
- Carry out fire strategy reports, fire risk assessments, and technical assessments.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of fire safety solutions in line with Irish Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents, and relevant international standards.
- Review designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and regulatory submissions.
- Mentor and support junior fire engineers within the team.
- Assist with business development activities and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Degree in Fire Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working as a Fire Engineer within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety engineering principles and building regulations.
- Experience developing fire strategies and performance-based solutions.
- Familiarity with relevant Irish and international fire safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Professional accreditation or membership with a recognised fire engineering body (such as Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Fire Engineers) would be advantageous.
