Quantity Surveyor

  • Location Manchester, ENG
  • Salary £45k/year - 55k/year
  • Posted July 28, 2026

We're proud to be supporting a leading construction and property consultancy as they continue to grow their Manchester team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing consultancy with an outstanding pipeline of work, varied project exposure and genuine opportunities for progression.

The consultancy is entering an exciting phase of growth, with a strong portfolio of projects across the North West and a growing client base. They're looking for someone who wants to become a key part of that journey - taking ownership of projects, building client relationships and developing their career within a supportive and experienced team.

The Projects

One of the biggest attractions of this role is the quality and variety of work.

The majority of projects are based in Central Manchester, meaning very little time spent travelling. Occasionally you'll visit sites further afield, but this is typically no more than 1-2 days per month.

Their portfolio includes:

  • Hotels
  • Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA)
  • Build-to-Rent developments
  • Commercial offices and refurbishments
  • Cladding and remediation projects

Project values range from £5m through to £140m, including involvement in a flagship £210m Manchester development.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who wants to take ownership of their work, broaden their project experience and build strong client relationships.

You'll be involved in:

  • Supporting projects from inception through to completion.
  • Providing commercial and cost advice.
  • Managing project costs, valuations and financial reporting.
  • Supporting procurement and contract administration.
  • Working closely with clients, contractors and wider project teams.
  • Building strong client relationships and developing your consultancy skills.
  • Working alongside experienced senior leaders and learning from a supportive team.

You'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops, with the support and guidance of an experienced leadership team committed to your long-term progression.

About You

We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who are looking to develop their consultancy experience and take the next step in their career.

This opportunity could suit:

  • A Quantity Surveyor looking for greater project exposure and responsibility.
  • A QS wanting to move into a consultancy environment.
  • Someone with strong contractor-side experience looking to broaden their consultancy experience.
  • A QS working towards MRICS and looking for structured support to achieve chartership.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, property or the wider built environment.
  • Good commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to work with clients and project teams.
  • A proactive approach and ambition to continue developing your career.

MRICS is desirable but not essential.

If you're currently working towards Chartership, the business has an established APC community, experienced mentors and structured support to help you progress towards MRICS.

What's On Offer

Alongside the opportunity to work on some of Manchester's most exciting developments, you'll benefit from:

  • Hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days from home)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Private healthcare
  • Life assurance (4x salary)
  • Income protection
  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • Competitive car allowance
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
  • 24 days annual leave, increasing with service, plus the option to buy an additional 5 days
  • Full APC, MRICS and APM Chartership support
  • Tailored training plans and professional development
  • Two paid professional memberships
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity package
  • Discounted gym memberships and lifestyle discounts

Why This Opportunity?
