A leading global consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major infrastructure programmes with a key utilities client, including work across AMP8.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cost professional to take on a client-facing role within a high-profile programme, with strong scope for progression into leadership.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in delivering cost management services across complex infrastructure projects, working closely with a major utilities client. While utilities experience is preferred, this role is also open to candidates with a broader infrastructure background.
This is a client-facing position requiring regular presence within the client’s office environment, offering excellent exposure and the opportunity to build long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial and cost management of infrastructure projects from inception through to completion
- Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, and financial reporting
- Administer contracts with a strong focus on NEC, including compensation events and change control
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and client requirements
- Work closely with the client and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Provide commercial insight and support decision-making
- Contribute to the development of junior team members
About You
- Experience operating at Senior Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor level within consultancy or infrastructure environments
- Strong, hands-on NEC contract experience (essential)
- Background in utilities or infrastructure projects
- Confident in a client-facing role, with excellent communication skills
- Commercially aware, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Professionally qualified (RICS or equivalent), or working towards chartership
