Infrastructure Engineer – Manchester
Vertical Recruitment are working with a highly regarded employee-owned civil engineering consultancy who are looking to expand their civil engineering team with the addition of an Infrastructure Engineer in their Manchester office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team of drainage, highways, and development infrastructure specialists, supporting an expanding client base of predominantly large residential developers.
The company deliver a broad range of infrastructure projects, from initial feasibility stage, through planning and detail design, to the construction stage. Typical schemes range from around 50 units to several thousand dwellings.
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- 3-5 years previous experience within an engineering consultancy
- Experience working on pre-planning and planning stage projects, with an understanding of detailed design and technical approval (S104, S38, S278, etc)
- Proficiency in MicroDrainage and AutoCAD (experience with Civils 3D would be an advantage)
- Sound technical ability, excellent communication skills, and the drive to progress professionally
You will:
- Lead the design of multiple schemes across a range of clients
- Develop Concept and Detailed Drainage Strategies
- Develop Levels Strategies and manage the production of Earthwork Appraisals
- Produce Planning Documents such as Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Technical Notes, and Utilities Statements
- Undertake Due Diligence reviews to support the purchase of land
- Support and collaborate with colleagues to maintain the high quality of project delivery
