Senior Fire Engineer – Australia
Our client is a leading Fire Consultancy with an immediate need for a Senior Fire Engineer in their Melbourne or Sydney offices. The client has a proven track record of delivering advanced Fire Engineering services on a wide range of projects both in Australia and internationally.
The desired candidate will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and supporting a growing Fire Engineering team whilst working with a good group of engineers, delivering fire engineering projects, across the region.
The client is keen for the candidate to be available for office-based work 3-4 times a week, with career development a key factor within the role.
Candidates must have the following experience:
” Over 4 years of relevant experience within Fire Engineering.
” Degree Qualified.
” A full member of the Institute of Fire Engineers would be desirable.
” Developing expertise in delivering fire safety engineering solutions in a multi-disciplinary environment with some experience in developing fire strategies, undertaking engineering analysis and applying performance-based designs
” Familiar with applicable codes, standards and regulations.
” Demonstrated leadership, planning and practical solution skills.
” Knowledge of CFD modelling would be advantageous.
Your role and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
” Project experience within the commercial, residential, education and healthcare markets is also advantageous.
” Run/Manage your own projects
” Work closely and develop a trusted relationships with other project stakeholders, notably architects, contractors, builders, and end users to achieve efficient and cost-effective solutions with a high-quality outcome
” Complete projects in terms of programme, design execution, technical risk management and overall client satisfaction
” Mentor Junior staff members
” Ability to effectively manage resources to deliver project responsibilities on time, and to expectations.
