Senior Civil Engineer
£45,000 - £55,000 | Nottingham (Hybrid)
The Role
A well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to strengthen its Nottingham team with the appointment of a Senior Civil Engineer.
This role would suit an experienced civil engineer who enjoys being hands-on with design and delivery, while also taking responsibility for managing their own projects and supporting junior engineers. You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, working on a varied portfolio of development-led schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering civil infrastructure and drainage designs for residential and mixed-use developments
- Preparing and checking designs associated with S278, S38, S185 and S104 agreements
- Producing and reviewing technical outputs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage (or equivalent)
- Managing projects from early concept through planning support and detailed design
- Coordinating with clients, local authorities and the wider design team
- Supporting and mentoring engineers within the team as required
- Maintaining technical quality and contributing to efficient project delivery
About You
You’ll bring:
- 6+ years’ experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy
- Strong technical capability in infrastructure and drainage design
- Experience working across multiple development sectors
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and external stakeholders
- A practical, delivery-focused approach with a desire to stay involved in design
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and deadlines
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
