Job Description

We are working with a reputable and dynamic architecture firm based in Preston, committed to delivering innovative and functional spaces for their clients. Specialising in office fit out projects, they take pride in transforming commercial spaces into inspiring environments that enhance productivity and reflect their clients’ unique identities. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join their team and contribute to the success of our exciting projects.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural projects, with a focus on office fit out designs.

1. Project Development: Collaborate with the design team to create detailed architectural drawings and plans for office fit out projects, ensuring adherence to relevant building codes and regulations.
2. Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in architectural software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard tools, to produce accurate and efficient design documentation.
3. Construction Documentation: Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, to facilitate smooth project execution.
4. Coordination: Work closely with the design and project management teams to coordinate all aspects of the office fit out projects, ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflow.
5. Site Visits: Conduct periodic site visits to ensure the implementation of designs aligns with the original plans and specifications.
6. Problem Solving: Address design challenges proactively and provide innovative solutions to meet project requirements effectively.
7. Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality of design work and compliance with industry standards, company guidelines, and local regulations.
8. Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and provide technical support during the project lifecycle.
9. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in office fit out design to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the team.

1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Architectural Technician, with ideally experience in office fit out projects.
2. Software Proficiency: Expertise in using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural software tools.
3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and building codes relevant to office fit out projects.
4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in design documentation and project coordination.
5. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and contractors.
6. Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
7. Problem-Solving: A proactive and solution-oriented approach to tackle design challenges.
