Job Description

Our client, a leading international Construction Consultancy, is seeking an Associate Director level Project Manager to join their established team. This role will be instrumental in implementing growth strategies for key market sectors across the North West and wider UK. As an experienced Project Manager, you will deliver effective and efficient project management services to clients, showcasing your expertise within the North West UK.

Your commitment to continuous improvement and learning will contribute to the development of new business opportunities and enhance your client understanding. Furthermore, you will actively support strategic growth initiatives and technical excellence.

Key Attributes:
” Ideally, recent experience as a client-facing Project Manager within the Development, Property, Education, or Public sectors.
” Highly motivated and collaborative, with a strong background in delivering best practice Project Management methodologies.
” Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
” Ability to articulate construction industry knowledge and technical excellence to clients and colleagues.
” Eagerness to actively support business development and growth.

Responsibilities:
” Ensure the effective delivery of project management services in a client-facing role.
” Lead and manage construction projects throughout the entire project life cycle, adhering to best practice methodologies.
” Cultivate positive and collaborative relationships with all project stakeholders, aligned with the company’s values.
” Serve as the primary point of contact and interface with clients, providing excellent service delivery.
” Take responsibility for the commercial success of projects under your control, including the management of project accounts, governance, and resource requirements.
” Ensure service delivery compliance with company policies, toolkits, and standards.
” Provide guidance, leadership, and technical expertise to team members.
” Mentor, coordinate, and support the development activities of junior team members in collaboration with colleagues.
” Support the development of new business opportunities in alignment with the company’s strategy, identifying market prospects for new or repeat business.
” Contribute to the preparation of fee proposals and bid submissions.
” Assist senior colleagues in handling large-scale complex projects.

Requirements:
” Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline.
” Professional membership in a recognized institution (MRICS, MAPM, or equivalent).
” Positive, collaborative, and innovative mindset with the ability to work independently.
” Experience in building strong client relationships and business networks.
” Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and successfully delivering projects using recognized project management methodologies.
” Sound technical knowledge of project management, showcasing established experience and aptitude.
” Experience in administering standard UK building contracts (NEC and JCT forms) and the ability to advise on appropriate procurement routes.
” Thorough understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation relevant to the UK construction industry.
” Commitment to ongoing personal development.
” Valid driving license.
