Electrical Associate Director – Building Services
Vertical Recruitment are proudly working closely with a global, multi-disciplinary consultancy in their search for an Electrically biased Associate Director to strengthen their already successful team. The successful Associate Director will be expected to maintain the high standards of this world-leading consultancy, showcasing their leadership qualities and self-motivation. This includes design review of the MEP systems, supervising engineers, coordinating, design documentation and contract administration on projects.
Based in their Manchester offices, you will not only have a great opportunity to work on innovative projects across the North-West, further you will join a global team of 47,000 strong where you will also take a lead role on exciting international projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, Client facing engineer looking to grow their career as an Associate Director.
Your main responsibilities will be:
– Act as Lead engineer for mid to large size projects
– Maintain Client relationships with several key clients.
– Manage a team of engineers
– Undertake quality checks and promote technical excellence
– Accountable for the results of the team and adherence to agree upon budget.
– Act as a mentor to other staff and promote CPD activities
– Carry out risk assessments and value engineering
– Contribute to and provide information for fee proposals
Your minimum requirements:
– Extensive experience in Electrical building services design in a wide range of market sectors.
– Previous experience in managing projects and small teams.
– The ability to provide technically sound design solutions.
– Security Clearance may be required to work on some projects
– Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients
– Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
– Relevant experience in Electrical Engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles.
