Job Description

Vertical Recruitment are working exclusively with highly reputable award-winning cost and project management construction consultancy. They hold multiple offices across the Northwest and over 60 employees, with plan to double in size by 2025 – their commitment to growth is stronger than ever.

Following our client’s recent success in securing several exciting contracts within the Rail and Building Sectors, they are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Liverpool.

Our client is an expert within the Rail Sector; however, they have a strong presence across several other sectors too, so you’ll always be learning and expanding your knowledge every day. You will work alongside their experienced real estate team to work on a range of multi-phase Rail Station and Building Refurbishment Projects across the region.

What you will do:
” Cost Reporting to the Client
” Preparation of Cost Plans
” Preparation of Tender Documentation
” Managing post contract change
” Relationships and Contacts
” Value and risk management
” Project benchmarking
” Construction Cost management
” Cost estimating & advice
” Cashflow forecasting and management
” Financial management and control
” Tender documentation
” Technical and options appraisals

What you will need:
” Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline
” Possess a minimum of 2+ years QS experience
” Ideally working towards RICS or another relevant professional body
” Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client
” JCT/NEC experience
” Have a track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
” Be a team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
