Job Description

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of their projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and contributing to the overall success of their construction and technical service operations.

Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project teams to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction and technical service projects.
2. Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenses and ensuring adherence to financial plans.
3. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalise contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favourable terms and conditions.
4. Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, highlighting project performance, cost variations, and potential risks.
5. Quantity Take-off: Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and measurements to support accurate cost calculations.
6. Cost Control: Implement robust cost control measures to ensure projects are executed within budgetary constraints.
7. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to project costs, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
8. Variation Orders: Handle and assess variation orders, ensuring accurate and fair pricing for changes in project scope.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align financial objectives with project goals.
10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, contractual obligations, and company policies.

Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or technical services industry.
3. Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office.
4. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial rope access, cradle platforms, and mobile elevated work platforms is advantageous.
5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
