A boutique developer led consultancy is seeking a dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and deliver large and complex commissions such as high rise residential, hotels and student accommodation schemes.

What you will do:
” Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports. Applying the value management techniques at the outset of a project.
” Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
” Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
” Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.
” Handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
” Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
What you will need:
” Professional outlook with excellent communication skills
” BSc Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
” 5+ years technical delivery experience
” MRICS
” JCT/NEC experience
” Experience in providing high quality quantity surveying and cost control services in relevant sectors
” Understand value add and value management
” Able to review and agree Contractors Proposals
” Experience of coaching, mentoring more junior colleagues and working with external stakeholders
” Experience in managing business relationships at middle-management level
