We are seeking a dynamic and client facing Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning Construction Consultancy.

What you will do:
” Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports. Applying the value management techniques at the outset of a project.
” Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
” Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
” Contract administration.
” Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.
” Handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
” Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
” Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
” Providing predominately value management consultancy services at feasibility and pre contract stage and provide cost reporting during each construction phase.
The ideal candidate will:
” Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice.
” Minimum 4+ years PQS experience, and prior public sector / healthcare sector experience
” Be experienced in managing projects in excess of £1m+
” A member of a professional body institute such as RICS.
” You have experience in contract administration and using various forms of contract, in particular, JCT/NEC will be preferable.
” Previous experience of managing people and risk management.
” Digital savvy and can build lasting client relationships and work well as part of a team.
