In this role, you will oversee several high-profile projects, including a large city centre net-zero carbon commercial office development, high-profile office refurbishments, new-build industrial warehouses, and multiple higher education projects. Our client is a leading project management and cost consultancy, offering a wealth of expertise across all sectors of the built environment.
Requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
” Full membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or substantial progress towards APC (Assessment of Professional Competence).
” Experience in working on building-related projects throughout the pre and post-contract stages.
” Capable of working autonomously and taking initiative.
” Proficient in key contract formats, including NEC and JCT.
” Committed, independent, and possesses strong teamwork skills.
” Excellent verbal and written English skills, coupled with proficient IT abilities.
Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
” Preparation of budgets, cost plans, and estimates during key design stages.
” Preparation of tender documents and management of tender processes, including reporting and recommendations for award.
” Drafting contract documents for signature and execution.
” Full post-contract and cost management activities, including negotiation and agreement of changes, preparation of valuations, cost reports, interim and final accounts.
” Attendance at meetings with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
” Information management, including resolution of project-related queries.
” Assistance with business development and marketing activities.
