Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

Vertical Recruitment are proudly working with a leading independent consultancy in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their successful building services team. Supporting the Senior / Associate Engineers in producing robust design solutions, your written and drawing work will contribute to a wide range of exciting new projects.
They are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who shares their pride in providing the highest

Their projects are designed with Net Zero Carbon at the forefront with a goal to create the most innovative buildings and healthy environments. Therefore, the successful Electrical Design Engineer will have high Corporate and Social Responsibility.

Based in their Warrington offices, you will be working from a central hub of the north of England whilst being part of a much larger team of 120 staff across 6 UK offices. This is a great opportunity for an intermediate level Electrical Design Engineer to progress their career in a thriving and forward-thinking environment.

Your responsibilities:
– Produce Electrical Design drawings, calculations & reports, specifications and schedules.
– Contribute to BREEAM or equivalent legislation
– Witness test the proving and commissioning procedures of final installations
– Support Senior/ Associate Engineers and Management
– Communicate effectively with internal and external design team member
– Undertake non-intrusive surveys of existing installations
– Undertake main plant area spatial allowance exercises
– Attend and contribute to design team and project meetings
– Study towards chartership and maintain CPD requirements
– Liaise with lead and/or support engineers to ensure that discipline designs are completed to expected quality and programme

Education and Experience:
– Engineering Degree preferred.
– Minimum Engineering HNC/D or equivalent qualification
– Alternatively suitable Construction site based experience with a recognised completed electrical apprenticeship
