Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join one of the UK’s leading Construction Consultancies who seek a bubbly individual to join their rapidly expanding Leeds team.

Our client doesn’t believe in bureaucracy, they believe in being yourself. Therefore, they are looking for a Senior Project Manager who generates ideas and exhibits spark, allowing them to flourish and be successful in the correct working environment.

You will be involved in residential schemes with their leading clients, values ranging up to £50m across the public and private sectors.

As well as great projects to manage you will also assist in leading the charge in terms of growing the Leeds office, building a fantastic team around you, and further expanding our client base. With the support of our highly skilled Nationwide Project Management team, the sky will be the limit!

What you will do:
” Achieve target deadlines set down by the client
” Liaise with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors
” Keep up to date with current developments and good practice within the industry
” Administer Quality Assurance in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures
” Preparation of fee proposals and managing expenditure of time in line with fee proposal to ensure profitability
” Manage and oversee projects from inception to completion
” Agree and manage fee and fee forecasts, ensuring profitability at all times
” Ensure QA audit checks are carried out in accordance with the procedures and these audits are documented and evidenced on the system
” At all times ensure any potential risks to the business either client-related or staff related are raised through the appropriate channels
” Assist with the compilation and production of bids
” Take minutes of meetings during Project Team, Design Team, Progress meetings and issue to team.
” Produce Project Programmes using Microsoft Project
” Tender document preparation and reporting
” Contract administration and cost control
” Contract documents preparation
” Monitor and report on progress, financial and quality information on allocated projects/programmes
” Monitor and check accounts / invoices and make payments as required to consultants and contractors

What you will need:
” Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
” Chartered status or working towards
” Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
” Understanding of NEC and JCT forms of contract
” Team player attitude
” Organised and methodical work ethic
” Line management experience is favourable
