If you’re a Graduate Building Surveyor with 6-18months industry experience, Vertical Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity with leading Development and Investment company in Manchester.

This position is to support and develop the Building Surveying arm of the business.
The Building Surveying team assumes a pivotal multi-disciplinary position, encompassing all aspects of maintaining building assets in a larger portfolio.

This role will allow you the freedom to utilise your specialised knowledge and creative thinking to resolve problems that aid your team in achieving their ambitious objectives.

The role

” You will possess a good comprehension of commercial property, encompassing the physical structure, building pathology and remediation, building regulations, as well as asset planning and implementation.
” Your mindset will be focused on commercialism and innovation, with the ability to enhance operational performance and investment returns.
” Your approach will involve utilising critical thinking skills, initiative, knowledge, data, and insight to solve intricate problems and evaluate project feasibility.
” Your dedication towards sustainability will be evident, as you possess knowledge of our sustainability strategy and the obstacles faced in commercial buildings.
” You will play a significant role in delivering the business unit plan, whilst communicating with transparency, openness, and effectiveness to ensure excellent customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

” Contributing to company-wide projects and initiatives, and providing input and insights as needed.
” Working closely with internal experts to ensure compliance with asset standards and sustainability goals.
” Collaborating with the wider building surveying team on strategic projects that align with the broader objectives.
” Supporting and advising colleagues on Building & Construction matters, based on your expertise and understanding of their priorities.
” Using your knowledge of internal and external best practices, life cycle analysis, and service charge major project plans to deliver projects within your site or buildings.

Requirements for the role

” Hold a Building Surveying degree (BSc or MSc)
” Minimum of 6 months industry experience as a Building Surveyor
