We are recruiting for a highly reputable Construction Consultancy in Salford Quays. They currently have a vacancy for an ambitious Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse range of educational projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.
The practice holds expertise in a wide array of building project types, including Education, Healthcare, Retail & Leisure, Residential & Commercial office. With an impressive track record of doubling their revenue each year, they’re now embarking on their 8th year, making this an incredibly exciting time to join the company!
You will be working on a variety of projects in the education sector ranging from £40m – £200m. You will lead projects related to educational facilities, including schools, colleges, and universities. This may involve new construction, expansions, and renovations of classrooms, the quad, libraries, and recreational areas.

What you will do:
- Manage and oversee the project from inception to completion
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors
- Attend meetings and undertake site visits
- Obtain cost information and manage fees from contractors and sub-contractors always ensuring profitability
- Contribute ideas to develop the team and company
- Keep up to date with current developments and good practice within the industry
- Tender document preparation and reporting
- Monitor and report on progress, financial and quality information on allocated projects/programmes
- Monitor and check accounts/invoices and make payments as required to consultants and contractors
- Take minutes of meetings during Project Team, Design Team, Progress meetings etc and issue to team
What you will need:
- Relevant experience working within the construction industry in a similar discipline
- Experience with contract administration with NEC and JCT forms of contracts
- Previous consultancy and client-side experience
- Ability to deliver a medium to large size project with minor support from senior staff
- Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of BS/PM/QS
- A client-centric outlook with a focus on the delivery of targets, quality and deadlines, meeting client objectives cost effectively
- Ability to hold own in discussions and meetings with contractors and senior clients and other stakeholders
- Ability to delegate tasks to assistants and support them on project activities
- Ability to network and willingness to contribute towards business development and fee proposals, has knowledge of clients and competitors and actively pursues potential business leads
- Ability to deliver a project from inception through to final account
